How Can I Help You to Help Yourself?

This is a question that Pauline Quimson-Miller began asking herself as a young child in the Philippines. She watched her Grandfather die early from cancer and desperately wanted to help him. Pauline’s direction in life was determined by letting this question guide her.

Pauline became a Psychologist and Medical Doctor to try to help her family and others. She specialized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Pauline had a shift in her approach to healing when she was unable to walk for a whole month due to excruciating pain from a traumatic fall. She studied holistic medicine and practiced meditation, yoga, and breathing. During this period, she opened her first Wellness Center. Her goal was to create a place where people could heal through customized wellness programs which included nutritional guidance, yoga, massage, aromatherapy, and Tai Chi.

When her Grandmother’s health failed, Dr. Pauline went to the USA to care for her. While there, she studied Cranio Sacral therapy, Jin Shin Jyutsu®, and Reflexology. She learned T’ai Chi Chih®! Joy Through Movement from the originator, Justin Stone and continues deepening her practice with her teacher Carmen Brocklehurst. She learned NLP, Hypnosis, Mental Emotional Release® Therapy, and Ho’oponopono – the Hawaiian process of forgiveness and reconciliation. and continues to study Ho’omana – an ancient healing system of empowerment and flexibility of behavior from her teacher, Dr. Matthew James.

Dr. Pauline believes we can all re-connect with the wholeness – integrating spirit, mind, emotions, and physical body – and reactivate the original blueprint of perfect health that exists in the core of our DNA. Her ability to see the best in her clients allows them to begin to see it for themselves.

Dr. Pauline recognizes that we all have challenges – weight loss, money, relationships, stress, trauma and pain.“The goal is to live with purpose and passion, doing what you love and having what you desire as you create the life you truly want,” she continues.

According to Dr, Pauline, “Most people have been taught to push emotions deep down, until they’re numb and can’t feel anything. But if you can’t feel, you can’t heal.” Dr. Pauline helps her clients recognize the root cause and then works with them to “heal it, process it, learn from it, and let it go gently.”

Dr. Pauline says: “Releasing your emotional baggage and limiting beliefs is like taking your blinders off. When you’re stuck, you can’t see what you need to do. Just like you’re in quicksand. The more you wiggle, the deeper you go. The old patterns fight to pull us down.”

Since behavior, learning, and change take place on an unconscious level, Dr. Pauline helps her clients tap into the power of the unconscious mind to break old patterns that perpetuate such things as smoking, over-eating, irrational fears, and low self esteem.

Dr. Pauline says: “Transforming your life is a process. There are simple steps you can take every day that will help you continue to move forward. Stop focusing on what you think is going wrong in your life. Begin to be present in the moment and practice gratitude for the blessings of life, opening up a whole new world of possibilities, freedom and purpose – allowing you to find your joy, follow your inner wisdom, and empower your life.”
